Our mission
To deliver affordable, industry-level automotive diagnostics and repair training that equips underserved and overlooked individuals with real skills, recognized credentials, and direct employment opportunities — without student debt. We empower WIOA-eligible adults, dislocated workers, justice-involved individuals, and community members eager to learn a high-demand trade. Our nonprofit model ensures every dollar goes back into training, equipment, and student support.
Our story
Auto Trades Academy was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, by Marcus Terrell Jenkins, a professional automotive diagnostic technician. Marcus built ATA to provide hands-on training from working technicians, using real shop tools and software, and earning certifications meeting WIOA and employer standards. Our leadership team, including Emanuel A. Pugh and Asyisa Litoria Riley, blends mentorship, accountability, and modern technology to create a life-changing training experience.

At ATA, the shop is the classroom. We're nonprofit and mission-driven, ensuring accessibility through WIOA funding.
